In early 2025 I stumbled across some cheap flights to Japan, a place that I have been meaning to travel to for a long time. It seems like just about everyone has had a chance to visit and have their own unique and individual opinions on what Japan means to them. So I thought it was about time I experienced it for myself. I only had a week to explore, so I booked a few days in Tokyo and then met up with my friend will, who was travelling the length of the country in a small campervan and we made our way out to the small coastal region of Izu and roamed the Peninsula in search of hidden gems.
